North Queensland – Cairns and Port Douglas

Description:
7 days, 6 nights
Escape winter and see far north Queensland. We will visit the Great Barrier Reef, Cape Tribulation and the Daintree rainforest.
Tour type: Disabled travel. Disabled Holidays
Tour info –
We fly to Cairns the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, Port Douglas and the Daintree Rainforest.
Enjoy the tranquillity of the rainforest as you soar above the canopy aboard the Skyrail.
Hear the birds singing and smell the fresh scent of the rainforest as you effortlessly and silently skim just meters above the rainforest canopy in a six-person gondola. Enjoy unbeatable views from the rainforest to the reef as you pass over the peak of the mountain range.
Wander through the Kunundra heritage markets before we grab some lunch at the one of the many of cafe’s and restaurants.
Then we descend by the world famous Kunundra railway. The onboard commentary outlines the pioneering history of the tropical north from way back in the late 1800's. Be astounded by a magnificent engineering feat and explore some of the great characters involved in the construction of this great railway.
We will drive up the coast stopping in to some of the spectacular beaches on the way up to Port Douglas. Visit the local Crocodile farm and see the crocks jumping out of the water.
Our Holiday culminates with a tour up to Cape Tribulation and a cruise of the Danintree river.
