Centrally located on the resort side of the island, the Wild Life Hamilton Island provides the perfect place for you to get up close and personal with some unique Australian wildlife.

There are a range of furry marsupials that call the Wildlife Park home, and for those that like creepy-crawlies, meet the park’s snakes and lizards. Take a guided tour of our unique Australian sanctuary and be introduced to the local koalas, kangaroos, birds and even the resident crocodile. Your guide will educate you on our wildlife while also being there to help you feed, talk and touch our Aussie animals.

Hamilton Island is the gateway for Great Barrier Reef tours, your launching pad for cruises and flights to the world’s largest coral reef. The fragile ecosystem is home to the world’s most diverse plant and animal life, with soft and hard corals, hundreds of species of fish, turtles and visiting dolphins and whales. Everyone has to visit this World Heritage-listed marine wonderland at least once in their lives. Take a dip and snorkel or use the glass bottom boat to view below. See if you can spot Nemo amongst the corral.

Whitehaven Beach - The best beach in the world!

Imagine a beach with sand so pure and white, it’s 98% pure silica. Now picture that pristine beach stretching for seven empty kilometres, gently lapped by rippling waves in 100 shades of turquoise and aquamarine.

Regularly voted one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Whitehaven Beach is on the east coast of uninhabited Whitsunday Island, an easy day trip from Hamilton Island.

Enjoy a range of activities such as ten pin bowling, mini golf or wake boarding as well as a range of water based non motorised activities.
